An Uber, sorry, a Mexican Uber driver once famously quoted “there are only two Christmas dates for us and they aren’t even Christmas, one yes is December 12th and the other one is Mother’s Day”. Whatever he meant for Christmas, I’m pretty sure it stands for high rates for both dates all thanks to Mexico City’s iconic traffic. We Mexicans do worship our beloved Virgen de Guadalupe and we also celebrate our mothers like a National Holiday, right? The past weekend, a long weekend, I was invited to a double baby shower at one iconic Ruben Dario location. Seeing friends for this special occasion, really reminded me how fast life goes on and how important is to highlight every milestone on it. For Lauren and Isabel, Mother’s Day is welcoming José Alonso and Nicolás into their families respectively. Both moms, boys’ moms XOXO💋
