who doesn’t love a fabulous duo right? history has proven that two swans are better than one. just look at Jackie and Lee, Nicky and Paris and now sisters Yu-Chi Lyra Kuo and Aren Yoo are taking the couture world by storm. I first met Yu-Chi Lyra Kuo when she debuted and won best mask at Save Venice last year and I was very very impressed by not only her style but her natural charm and yes another highlight of the night: her gorgeous slash hot husband. If I returned this year to the gala of galas at the Plaza was mainly to feel welcome by all swans there. Truth is not all events are glamorous and fun but when flying from Mexico just for Save Venice, one can tell that friends will be there like Lauren Levison and Rebecca Vanyo, who actually happened to be the one who introduced me to Yu-Chi Lyra Kuo back in 2025.

Since Rebecca introduced us, I’ve been following Yu-Chi Lyra Kuo on Instagram and I’ve witnessed how even the almighty Graydon Carter has acknowledged her as the unquestionable Couture Queen from today’s world. And God, yes I have to agree that Yu-Chi Lyra Kuo is beyond kind, funny, smart and inside/out pretty as glamorous as she looks. That’s why it was no surprise when meeting her young sister at the dance floor Aren Yoo, that in a second the moment felt like being with a princess.

I won’t deny it was already midnight and I was a little bit tipsy… it was almost time to leave for the afterparty but dancing to the beat of Robyn with swan sisters Yu-Chi Lyra Kuo and Aren Yoo definitely felt like an epic New York moment under the stars created by the Wizard of Oz of New York Party Planning Bronson van Wyck.
